For as long as I can remember I have been interested in photography. So much so that I was on the yearbook staff in high school and even changed my major to Art one semester in college, planning to concentrate on photography and graphic design. Needless to say, that didn't happen. I found out it was a competitive field and not to safe a field to go into if I wanted to have a steady career. Sure, things could go great, but then again, they could also go the other way. So unfortunately, I put that career dream away and majored in Child & Family Development instead. That's okay though. I am hoping the classes will help me out in becoming a good mother....I am sure if you ask my parents and husband-they have already helped me become a good wife and daughter. ;)
Anyways, just because I didn't end up majoring in it, didn't mean that I put away the dream completely. I still always had high hopes of taking photography classes. Sadly the classes never fit in my schedule. (I still have no idea how people fit fun classes into their schedules in college... all I can say is that I did everything I could to get out of there in 4 years tops)
So here I am, almost 3 years after college and no photography skills to show. Enter Jeremy. My love has always had a great passion for photography as well. And at one point, he also considered a career in photography like me. However, unlike me, he did have the opportunity to take some classes and even used his skills to take pictures at my sister's wedding. (Now I know why a lot of the pictures centered on me instead of the bride...just kidding) Well all we had to do was walk into best buy a few times and look at the cameras to stir up our interest once again and here I am posting a blog about our new camera! Yay! We got a Canon EOS Rebel T1i DSLR. Now to be completely honest I don't know what that means but I am so excited. We plan on taking classes soon at the community college and I will be visiting the library pretty soon.
