Camping

Thank God "roughing it" was not as bad as Jeremy described. We had all kinds of  things around us. My favorite camping commodity....a working running toilet! As long as there is a real toilet, I am happy. Also, getting to eat hamburgers and s'mores without feeling guilty....Awesome! We had a great time camping at Lake Easton...Here are some pictures!

Baloo and Mashy did pretty good on their first camping drip but everytime we opened up the truck door they would jump on in.....I am not sure what this meant but Jeremy and I got a kick out of pretending that they were having a hard time "roughing it"
Washington trees are beautiful! Too bad it has to rain so much just to make them grow
I just find it so sweet how much Jeremy loves his "kids"
I was originally holding Mashy but once we climbed the hill Jeremy took over so I wouldn't get dragged down the drop
Jeremy was making s'mores and Baloo would not get anywhere near the fire. He sat as far as possible. He does this when I am cooking at home too. As soon as the pan starts to sizzle he runs upstairs.
Our campsite complete with a mini grill and Jeremy's Frisbee golf basket, that's right, Frisbee golf.

Mashy Learns to Swim

My poor children. Daddy is going to traumatize them someday. Apparently Daddy thinks that the best way to teach someone who is hesitant about getting into the water is to pick them up and throw them in.
Poor Mashy is now traumatized of deep water and spent half our day at Lake Washington, whining by the shore. And this only happened after Daddy picked her up and threw her in. Yes, she did eventually get back in the water, but like me, she is now someone who panics when water starts to hit their chin. Hopefully she is the only kid to take after me. I would hate for Jeremy to have our kids and  Mashy hanging off of him clinging for dear life when we go swimming. I mean, who would I cling to?

The "Incident" in Motion

Mashy swimming far away from Daddy after the"Incident"

Uh Oh! She went in too deep. Better beeline to the shore.
Baloo obviously not having any problem whatsoever in the water
The pups and the one Mashy considers the "good parent" Never mind that as the "Incident" was occurring, mommy was busily taking pictures not really paying attention to what was happening. Shhh...Mashy  doesn't have to know.

Birthday Boy

He may not have been home for my favorite holiday,  but at least we got to celebrate his day together!
