We love...

Dear Dad,
Thank you for belly rubs
Thank you for buying me that awesome water dispenser mommy hates, so I never run out of water and can go whenever I please to get water and splatter it all over the floor
Thank you for agreeing that licks are acceptable as a sign of affection, even if you are sleeping
Thank you for convincing mommy to get me a little sister so I am never alone anymore
Thank you for taking me on fun adventures, like getting to play at your work all day with the other drill's dogs

Daddy,
Thank you for rescuing me from the barn in Yakima
Thank you permanently traumatizing me and causing me to fear water...this way I will never drown
Thank you for allowing us to go on the couch once I was brought home, it is so fun to drive mommy crazy when you are gone by jumping up on furniture
Thank you for making the decision that yes, I am trustworthy enough to be out of the kennel while you are gone, now I can really get my hair on that couch
Thank you for bringing the baby home, its fun to pick on someone else. Picking on Baloo was getting old.
Thank you also for the boy, he spills his food everywhere! Score!

Dah-dy,
You are the bestest "march" that ever walked in army boots
I look up to you every day of my life (well...you are taller than me)
I love that you taught me to wrestle. I find it so fun tackling everyone who sits on the couch.
I love that you do your absolutely best to dedicate friday nights just to me and mommy. Even if you are half-awake.
I love that you will sometimes steal me out of my crib just so you can cuddle with me. (Ooops...was that a secret? Too bad I can't delete that)
I love that you do this all for me

Daddy we know your job takes you away a lot and you sacrifice a lot of time with us to make sure we live full lives. We love you so much for that! We hope one day we make you so proud and you see that your labor was not in vain and was always appreciated.

We love Daddy!

Little Climber

I have a hard time drawing the line between when I need to restrict my little guy and when I should let him explore. I know he needs boundaries but at the same time I love that he is so curious and I can almost see his little mind getting smarter and smarter.
Oh man! If I am having this much trouble deciding what is best for him now, I can't imagine what it will be like later. Prayer! I need to pray for this kid and me and daddy so much more. This guy is too precious to lead the wrong path.

*sidenote: Don't want to forget a memory: Jeremy's dream about shooting guns and marching in the army complete with noises and motions and that he has for the 4th day in a row insisted on cuddling with "Mouse" "Football" and "Sofia" too cute!

Perks of Living on Post

We avoided living on post like the plague. Every single story we had heard about living on post had us scared. Horrible neighbors. Ridiculous rules. Disgusting housing.

Well when we first got here, after a cross country drive with a one year old, 2 dogs, 1 driver, towing a car and a sick mommy on Christmas weekend, it would be understandable that the search for a suitable house would be a stressful one. We quickly decided (well when I say we, I mean Jeremy out of love agreed after seeing me cry) that we would try living on post. We were terrified.

Thank God we have been blessed so far. We have wonderful neighbors, a beautiful house, and we are a short commute to Jeremy's work (this will be great when Jeremy starts his drill sergeant hours coming and going at crazy hours of the night).

However, I never knew living on post would have other perks too. One of which being that there is always something to do.This has been great while Jeremy Sr. has been at drill sergeant school.

Today Jeremy Jr. and I got to go with my wonderful neighbor to a horsemanship program. It was a 5 minute drive from the house. Last week we went to the Easter celebration. This week we will go to the dog park fest and next week....

I know there are many activities going on in the outside world too, but its been fun getting to do all these things so close to home in a safe place, especially when you are brand new to an area that is so different from home. We are really liking living here thank God.

By the way...Jeremy Jr. loved the horse. Such a dare-devil.

A New Beginning

I thought the end to 2012 would never come, but here we are....4 months into 2013 and 2012 is far behind us. Thank God. Praise God. It's over and we are together again. And as you can see, we are now in Georgia. To catch you all up since our last post. Daddy was gone. Daddy was stationed in Korea. Daddy came home. Daddy brought us to Georgia. Daddy moved us into a beautiful home. Thank God. Praise God. We are together again. We are together forever and ever.
