Today was not a fun day. In fact, it was actually quite stinky.
It all started with being an hour late to my prenatal appointment. If you know me you are probably thinking I left late, but in fact today that was not the truth. I gave myself 40 minutes to get to the doctor on what is normally a 25-30 minute journey. Unfortunately, the time I allotted myself was not enough. What normally is a 30 minute journey turned into a 90 minute one because of traffic (at 12pm!) I was so upset and embarrassed but thankfully since I have 2 hour appointments, I still made it on time and my wonderful midwife told me not to worry and made everything better. Blood pressure, weight gain, fundal height (I don't really get it either) and heartbeat all look good. My little guy was active and poor little guy had the hiccups. It was so fun getting to hear them through the doppler. He is still not head down but my midwife told me he is on his way there and still has time to make the complete shift. Come on baby Jeremy!
We also got to see the birthing rooms and all the gadgets that will or might be used during labor. And although it was good to see, I am getting more nervous about this birth. Not so much about the pain, but about the interventions that may need to be used. Please join me in prayer that all will go smoothly and that the labor may progress on its own without any medical intervention. I know its not going to be easy, but I do know God made us girls to be able to do this so I am going in this with confidence that He will help me get through this.
Well the next stinky that happened today was finally having to go in and get my wedding ring cut off. I went to Zales first because that is wehre my husband bought them from but they no longer offer the service due to lawsuits. Thankfully, Fred Meyer Jewlers were kind enough to help and cut of my ring free of charge. It was the saddest thing in the world to see the symbol of our marriage being cut apart. I did everything I could to hold my tears in. Thankfully, however, they reassured me that it can be fixed and most importantly a ring is only a symbol of our love, and though it was torn apart, the real thing still exists. Jeremy reminded me of this just a few minutes later by calling me to hurry home because he had not seen in a couple days and wanted to see me before having to leave again. What a sweetie :)
Well the last thing that threw me off today was losing a gift card we had received that had a good amount of money at the mall. I already had all my things at the register and was not able to find it. I was wearing uncomfortable shoes (some of the only ones that fit now) and had to search all over the mall to find it. I got to the last possible place it could be and was feeling so defeated. Yet, awesomely before I could even ask, the man in the store walked up to me and knew exactly why I was there and handed me my card :)
Well, despite the challenges of the day, we (cuz baby Jeremy has been with me all day) have made it through today and each headache had a happy ending!
Thank you Lord for getting me through the difficult moments and giving me a light at the end of each tunnel!

35 weeks down, 35 days to go!
Today marks my 35th week of pregnancy and oddly enough it also means that I also have only 35 days to go! I cannot believe we have made it this far! I am so overly full of joy and gratefulness to God for allowing us to get to this point.
With only 35 days to go you would think we are all ready for the little guy to get here but unfortunately that is far from the truth. We still got everything to do! But yesterday was my last day at work and hopefully that means that I will have time to get baby things done like:
buy a crib
buy diapers
clean the carpets
clean the babies room
buy some bottles
and as I begin to list things I am realizing there is way to much to list so I better get to bed and get an early start on things tomorrow morning.
Good Night :)

Baby Belly
When I found out I was pregnant I instantly became intrigued with my belly...Would I get stretch marks? How big would it get? What kind of clothes would I need to get to compliment the belly? When would I be able to see the baby move in my belly? So many things to look forward to.....my baby was growing in there!
As my pregnancy journey continued I began to take pictures to mark my baby's growth and after several self bathroom mirror shots, I decided I really wanted to get some professional pictures done to mark this beautiful time in my life instead of having only these photos that all showed a bright pink cell phone in them.
I quickly found several photographers in my area that took beautiful maternity pictures and I waited and waited until month 7 when they suggested it would be the best time to take the pictures given that my belly would be big enough to get some good shots.
And as wonderful as photographs are, I came to the conclusion that the best thing for us would be to invest in pictures of the little one, once he was born. Yet my wonderful husband, wanting to try to give me my wish, volunteered to take me out and get some pictures of me and the baby belly. I admit, I was a little hesitant and weirded out at first, but since I do know he loves pictures as much as me and really wanting to capture my baby belly forever, decided to take him up on his offer.
I admit I was a little uncomfortable during the "session" I have never been real confident when taking pictures and for some reason, even after 5 years, this guy still makes me very shy....so I messed up some of the shots with nervous Abby face.
But despite my nervousness, I really feel like we got some wonderful pictures to mark this special time in our lives and I am so thankful for that. I am so glad to have a husband who tries so hard to make me happy and I am so glad that even though these pictures really made me see how HUGE I am getting, there is a little tiny life in there that God has entrusted us with and it is such a blessing!

It's about time!
Well I just wanted to write a quick post to let anyone out there who still reads this that we are alive and actually doing real well.
I will give you a brief little update on each member of the Gonzales household
Jeremy (Sr.)---Today Sgt. Gonzales passed his promotion board and is now an E-5 promotable, meaning that once he makes points, he is going to become Staff Sgt. Gonzales. He worked so hard and even won NCO of the year for his squadron last month! Me and the kids are so very proud of him and so thankful that he works so hard to provide for us. I am so thankful to God that He has given Jeremy such talent and for helping him with his job. I am so proud of my American hero.
Me---I am getting bigger and bigger and more excited about this baby! I can't wait for him to come. I am also experiencing the many nuisances of pregnancy--swollen hands and feet, constant bathroom visits, waddling, tiredness, heartburn, uncomfortable sleeping---It's all such a blessing. I have 2 weeks and 2 days left at work and I am so excited for that too. I also decided not to return to work next year and am praying for God's direction in my life.
Baloo---Is growing up to be such a handsome pup. He is so laid back and sweet and we got to see that he is going to be great with our son. Only thing is we need him to be a little more aware of his size. His health is also good and after giving us a few scares these past months with what we thought was diabetes, he is doing great :)
Mashy--She continues to be a rascal and at the same time such a sweetie. She also got to show us how she is going to do with our new family member and let's just say we all have some work to do. She handled being poked in the eye, fingers in her mouth, and being petted well which is good. However she is so jumpy and nervous around sudden movements and sounds, I know we got to work with her to be calmer about certain things. She also had some health problems a few weeks ago but thank God she is doing better :)
Baby Jeremy--Is doing great. Right now he is moving up a storm in my belly and I am hoping he is getting strong to come out in 5-8 weeks. He is actually due in 8 weeks but if we can make it to 37 weeks I will be so happy. However, if he wants to come later, I am happy as long as I get to meet my precious little healthy boy.
Well that is it for now!
