San Diego Visit

Well since I hadn't seen my family in a few months, Jeremy, my mom, and my sister all chipped in to buy me a ticket as part of a birthday present. Yeah, I know my birthday was a few months ago but given the move and ticket prices, this was the first chance I was able to go. Although I was worried to leave my boys alone (I like to pretend that need me), I was so excited to see my family. I was especially excited to see my baby nephew. (See a common theme in the photos below?)

We had a great time while I was down. We went to the beach,to see a movie, went shopping, saw my family and church family and ate yummy food. I miss my Lolitas taco shop so much.
I had the best time with baby Gabriel. I was nervous he would be shy around m e since he hasn't seen me in so long but we just have a special bond I guess because he didn't cry when he was with me. The couple of times he did, I was able to calm him down within a few seconds. Of course I did make sure to give him to mommy if I noticed he was getti ng tired. I didn' want to ruin my no crying streak. hee hee. He loved me! And I love him too.

It was great to be around family again and getting taken care of again. Not that Jeremy doesn't take care of me because he does an awesome job, but I think being the mommy of the family always entails an extra duty of making sure everyone around you is good before you can relax and sleep, eat, leave the house etc... And although I love being a wife and a puppy's mommy, it was nice to play the baby daughter and baby sister again.

Well even though it was a great visit, I was extremely excited to get back home to my boys. It's funny, I was on vacation, but I couldn't 100% relax because they were alway s in the back of my mind. Did they eat ok? Was Baloo ok being alone for 12 hours at a time? Did Jeremy wake up on time for work? Again, that whole mommy thing. I think I felt it even extra because I got to see my sister in mommy mode for the first time. She is an awesome mom and she just loves her Gabriels so much. I see she has become so much stronger with her extra bundle of joy to take care of. Gabe is the best dad ever and they do an awesome job together. Still that mom thing.. You feel responsible for everything. I don't know how m y mom does it being so far away from me. Actually she told me. She says she puts me in God's hands. I know that's the best thing to do, but it's so hard sometimes to keep yourself from worrying. Well thankfully, my boys were ok with only a minor incident. Baloo after all is only a puppy. He had a fun decorating surprise for me when I got home hee hee ;o)

I'm back home now and I miss my family again. That's the funny thing abou t being a military wife. Most of the time you are missing someone. If not your family, than you are missing your husband or if you are with family than you are missing your spouse. Then sometimes you get blessed to get stationed in your hometown but then you are missing those friends who became family when you were at another duty station. And don't even get me started on those brave girls I know who sometimes have to miss everyon e when their husbands get deployed. Well its hard but like my mom says, you just have to put yourself in God's hands and He will help you.
Me and Jeremy cannot wait to get back down to San Diego for another visit. This time as a family so we can all be together! :o) (now, the next step....how do I convince my army family to come down to San Diego)

Promising Baby Gabe I would visit him again.
Le estoy prometiendo al baby que nos veremos otra vez.

He is so curious about everything just like his Tia.
Quiere saber todo, igual como su Tia!
Not my favorite picture of me but look at him! He is just too cute!
Que hermoso esta mi sobrinito!
Baby G wanted me to see the beach with him, even though at this point he can't really see it . Don't worry Baby, Daddy to the rescue!
Como no habia visto la playa de Coronado en un tiempo, el Baby quiso ir a ver la agua conmigo. Aunque en esta foto no podia ver la playa, su papi, como siempre vino a su rescate!

Prayer Request

Well I am stressing out because I am trying to figure out what path to take career wise. I am thinking about going back to school but am not sure what direction I should go...All I know is I want to continue working and helping kids. I want to do so much but it's impossible to do everything. Please keep me in your prayers so that God may direct me where He wants me to be and help me remember to seek Him first instead of stressing out.
May God truly bless each and everyone of you....oh and I just wanted to say thanks for checking in and reading my blogs and keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. It is so hard for us to be away from our friends and family that we love so much. We are always feeling homesick. And it's funny but this actually does help me feel connected to you...like if I am talking to you and you are there willing to spend your time listening to me. I can almost feel your hugs.
Well I cant wait to see some of you next week when I am in SAN DIEGO :) Only 8 more days!

***we love and miss you***
this has nothing to do with what I just wrote about but i was going through my pictures and I saw this and thought it would be fun to make you laugh at just how short I am :o)
